Miquita chose a vintage purple button-up shirt dress, a few tweaks to the sleeves, waist and length transformed this into a mini dress that suits her style down to a t. The clean lines now fit and flatter her shape hitting all the right angles. Tailoring vintage or second hand pieces to your body shape is the most sustainable way to shop while adding timeless longevity to your wardrobe -  guilt free.

The second piece we reworked with Miquita was this vintage 80’s midi skirt in an alluring shade of iridescent turquoise blue. The cut wasn’t right for her and she wasn’t into the 80s frill - so one of our seamsters adjusted the side-seams, removed the trim and cropped the length, creating a one-of-a-kind mini skirt. A prime example of snapping up a treasured piece in a beautiful colour and fabric, regardless of whether the shape or style isn’t quite right. Make Nu exist to make thrifting fun as we open up a world of second-hand shopping sustainably, where being unique and individual is celebrated.
